Monday 17/6/24 In I went with my cousin & the first thing I noticed was it was a bit dull in there & I couldn't hear the waitress talking to me because of the loud music that was being played, & I told her that was the reason I couldn't hear her & I thought she would have taken the hint & turned the music down a wee bit - but it didn't happen. I had their lovely piping hot bowl of chicken & rice soup which was quite nice & thick I had a lovely hot coffee latte in a nice tall glass along with my lovely tasting steak pie & there was only one wee small tough bit of meat in it & the gravy was nice & thick & also the chips & my choice of having beans instead of peas tasted gr8 10/10 BUT it was served up to me on a cold plate which is a no! no! 'cos the heat DISSIPATES to a cold surface. There r very few cafes that will serve up food on a hot or warm plate. My cousin enjoyed her baked tattie BUT that part of the skin was tough & sone folks, like myself like to eat all the skin & I know the best cafés to visit that you can accomplish that & one is Aromas Cafe in Falkirk. I haven't tried other cafés in Airdrie yet.
